Martinas just landed in the pages of Harper's Bazaar Ecuador, and the feature says it all: our bags are statement pieces that hold nothing back when it comes to shine and color.

The piece highlights what makes Martinas truly different. Each bag is entirely handcrafted, covered in hundreds of hand-sewn beads, chaquiras, and mirror-glass pendants that catch the light with every step. No two pieces are exactly alike. Even bags from the same model carry their own personality.

Harper's Bazaar spotlights some of our signature styles, from the Rosé Formentera Bag with its cascade of pearls, to the bold monochromatic Red Martinas Bag, to our evening-ready bucket bag dripping in sequins.

The article also tells the story behind the brand: founded in May 2025 by Francella Bermúdez, a Costa Rican creative based in Spain, Martinas was born from a search for accessories that feel meaningful, not generic. The inspiration came alive during a trip to Asia, where textures, markets, light, and artisan culture converged into a vision. Today, a team of around 14 artisans brings each design to life, working on demand and by preorder to honor both craftsmanship and conscious consumption.

As Francella puts it: a Martinas bag works from the supermarket to a wedding. It is a way of moving through the world with freedom and creativity.
